The terms arrive before anyone pays

The terms of service, the privacy policy, and the data processing agreement aren’t published yet. A lawyer is drafting and reviewing them, and they’ll be live before any church is asked to pay. Until then this page carries the commitments the documents are drafted from.

What the documents will say

The commitments they’re built on

These are product facts rather than legal text, and they’re here because the documents are being drafted from them. If anything below disagrees with the terms when they publish, the terms win and this page was wrong.

The transcript is the recording
We never rewrite what was preached. The only changes restore words the transcription misheard (biblical names, the wording of Scripture as it’s read aloud, other names a sermon cites, and ordinary words it misheard), automatically and only where the engine can verify what was said, and add capitals for “God” and “Lord”, a style you turn on yourself. A person at your church reads the whole sermon before it publishes, with every clarification listed for them. The original transcription data is kept untouched and ships in your export, so you can check the transcript against it.
Your content is yours
Your recordings, your transcripts, your pages. We process them to provide the service, and we hand all of it back on request, in a format that doesn’t need us.
Publishing is your act
Processing is automatic. Publishing is a person at your church pressing a button, and it stays that way by default.
We transcribe sermon audio and don’t screen it
The service is for sermon recordings, and sung sections aren’t supported. We don’t detect, screen, filter, or adjudicate what’s in a recording, and we require no license of any kind from your church. What you upload and publish is your church’s to decide.
Transcripts and metadata are machine-assisted
The transcription, and the summary, tags, quotes, and suggestions around it, are produced by software and reviewed by a person at your church before anything is public. We say so here so a reader knows before reading a page.
You can cancel, and leave with everything
Cancel whenever you like, and the service runs to the end of the period you paid for. Take the export before or after. A permanent processing failure credits the sermon-equivalent back automatically.

Still to come

Being drafted now

  • Terms of service, including a content policy with a stated enforcement ladder.
  • A privacy policy: what’s collected, how long it’s kept, and how to ask for it or ask for its deletion.
  • A data processing agreement, naming every company that processes a church’s data, with standard contractual clauses available for churches outside the United States.
  • A refund policy. Cancel at the end of the period you’ve paid for; a permanent processing failure credits automatically.
